Elementary and middle school science consists of unit studies that are designed to introduce students to a variety of topics including studies in earth, environmental, ecology, physical and life sciences Over the course of the students' time in third through eighth grade they will hear and learn topics multiple times at increasingly deeper levels.
High school students will cycle through agri-science, biology, human anatomy/health, and a chemistry/physics intro. Environmental science is woven through all four years. Students who attend all four high school years at Pathways will graduate with five science credits.
Students learn through lecture, video, guest speakers, field work, reading, research, and most importantly, project-based learning. Students ask questions and find solutions to science issues based on observation, research, and hands-on projects.
